Wine + the Application Process = Bad Idea
I took a Wines of the World class in college and every once in a while, I like to enjoy a good glass of wine. Over the years, I’ve built a nice collection of white and red wines. After long days, I pull out a chilled bottle and pour a small glass.
I sat down last night with a beautiful glass of Syrah and began to search the internet for a day job. Unfortunately I neglected to take two important items into consideration: 1) I’m 7 pounds thinner thanks to the ‘cardio cart’ workout. 2) The percentage of alcohol in that particular Syrah is 14%.
The first few applications to administrative positions went well but then I started to become more adventurous thanks to the potent wine and thought…
Why yes, I DO think I possess the talent and stamina to work in a warehouse lifting 100 pounds – sure I only weigh 20 pounds more but ants can work that way, why can’t I??
Why yes, I DO think I could work as a night guard in a high security prison with all male inmates.
County Judge? Sure! I love Judge Judy! I’d be awesome!
Air Traffic Controller? Why not?!
I have a feeling I’ll receive some odd calls over the next few days.
On a side note…
Night security guards in prisons make some pretty good cash. Imagine my debt future with that job!
